Studio Thalo (Thay-low) is a Minneapolis-based artist collective and studio composed of Bayou Bay, Olivia Levins Holden, and Nell Pierce, established in 2016.
We integrate our combined skills as community muralists, graphic designers, illustrators, and organizers to create Graphic Recordings for organizations and community groups working toward equity, healing, and justice. Our work centers the voices, values, and visions within communities, and leaves a visual reminder of the embodied experiences of community gatherings. Our work is grounded in our values of equity and justice, place-keeping, archiving, community storytelling.
